There's only one thing I hate more than slow weight loss - a slow computer. Mine has been slower than slow for a couple of weeks and my patience with it is done. A few weeks ago I downloaded Skype to help my mom figure out how to use it, and when I logged out and turned off my web cam the BIG BLUE SCREEN appeared...Gasp...Never a good thing as any Windows user knows. I tried everything - reboot, defrag, cleaned out temp files, scan, reboot, etc. Nothing made a difference. I'm using my mom's computer right now and today mine is going to the Geeks for a tune-up. I love technology, but the faster things get the more I have no patience with anything slow. It just sends me over the edge to have to sit and wait for two minutes for a page to load. I feel like I'm back to the old dial-up internet of the old days, lol.
While in Dallas the week before last, we had fantastic weather. A little cool and a little windy and I wished I could run off from my real reason for being there and visit fellow bloggers that are around that area. They all have bikes and it would be a hoot to someday go riding together - Roxie (I didn't even know you got a bike), Anne, and Shelley .
I've managed to lose 2 lbs in two weeks and this week was the only week that I really tried. In Dallas, as usual, when I'm away from home I eat poorly and too many carbs. But, I did better than I have in the past so I guess that's something.
Have a great weekend and don't forget to drink your water.
ETA: Back from the computer clinic and all is well. No virus, but waaaayyyy too many programs running in the background...sneaky little devils.
The blue screen of death...If I recall that's what the ex called it! ;)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about expecting the quickest...It's not good for us to be this way...But how do you 'go back'?
I'm getting a MAC next week. So I'll be frustrated with the learning but it's the best computer for what I need and do. You go MAC you never go back right? ;)
Love You Tena!

One of the best things I ever did for myself....
ReplyDeleteGot a Mac. The Mac learns YOU!
And next time you are in Dallas FOR SURE
It can be a Texas Blogger Round-Up.
Bikes, or just coffee!
Good job on the pounds off.
I propose that we seriously do this - Piper, that's my bike, and I would haul to where ever for that!
ReplyDeleteMY Mac is acting up! Cursors be cursed!!! But Anne is mostly right ... The Mac is a fabulous little machine. She's the one who encouraged me to get mine. Despite this glitch, I'm not sorry I did.
ReplyDeleteto answer your ? on my blog ... the trackpad is the mouse ... I'm not using an external mouse. I have no idea what's going on. Right now I'm able to use it but just a few minutes ago it was going all badass on me again.
I wish I could come down to ride with all you Texas Tornados!
Thanks for the reminder to scan and backup. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat scale results!
Ohh technology is a real bugger...glad yours is virus free. I'm hinting to the husband that a bike for my birthday would be a very wise and appreciated gift!! good job Tena on the scale!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the loss :) I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI have been in technology hell with my mom's computer. It is NO fun.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the loss! It all adds up Miss Tena!
