I got up at the crack of dawn (well, to me anyway) and got to the school at 6am. It's still dark at that time of the morning here in Texas, in case you don't get up that early. Man that's early for me to already be at the school. My body was in shock!
Anyhoo, we walked the track for 3 laps and then hit the circuit. Am I sounding like a true weight lifter, or what?! M, who has volunteered her fitness expertise, showed me the machines I need to start out on today. I only did 15 reps on each machine working my arms, back, legs, and abs. The leg machines weren't too hard for me but the arms, well, lets just say I'm a real weakling. It felt good though and I'm sooooo glad I got my carcass out of bed and DID IT.
M will also start us on some calisthentics later in the week. I'm going to be sore, I know. But I need this and I'm so thankful for the opportunity.
Make it a great day and don't forget to drink your water.
You do sound like a true lifter, and you are! You were there right? Awesome job!

ReplyDeleteMan are you gonna be sore!! I'm just kidding. ;-) I am in awe of your dedication but that is too early for anything but coffee.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Stretching after the workout will help A LOT with the soreness.
ReplyDeleteI got a hot tip from Karen at Fitcetera about you! so I had to check your blog out and I like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job getting your workout done early! I'm usually out at 6 and you're right, it's dark out there!

Hi Tena,
ReplyDeleteHope the second day pain isn't too bad. I always found the second day after a lifting session the worst. I LOVE weights. It was the best part of the gym for me when I was going. I hope you come to love it too. I found it so rewarding.
I ate my way through my weekend trip! Bah! No losses this weight in. Lesson learned.
Hope you are happy and well.
xo
