Happy Memorial Day, ya'll! And to my favorite Canadians - Happy Monday :)
Being Texan, we are having brisket and beans and tater salad. I'm having coleslaw instead of tater salad because of the carbs and no bread. I've done well doing low carb and the scale showed it this morning - a loss of 7 pounds my first week! Woo Hoo! Yahoo!
We used to have big family gatherings on these holidays. But now, what with certain family members getting a hitch in their craw (is that a saying?) our gathering has gotten smaller and smaller each year. So the meat was bought from a great little BBQ place and the rest is home made. I'm hungry, too, so I'm off to munch.
Have a great week and don't forget to drink your water!
Allow me please to be among the first to congratulate you on such a wonderful job in your weight-loss goals, Tena.

ReplyDeleteGlad school is out and you can blog more! Keep up the good work!
Great loss!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I understand "hitch in their craw". Is it the same as "panties in a twist"? :)
DANG. great job on the seven pounds!
ReplyDeletehow are you liking the low carb? any fatigue at all or does it seem to be what your body craves?

Thanks, everyone, for your congrats and woo and hoo's. And Cammy, I do think it's exactly the same as "panties in a twist" :D
ReplyDeleteCarla, I do like the low carb. And so far, no fatigue - I actually think I feel less tired. Being hypothyroid there is always a little fatigue :(
Way to go on the weight loss girl!! That is a huge number :)
