Houston, get your sweatpants on!

I'm wearing sweatpants today. I only own one pair because here in Houston it's usually hot or humid or both. Winters usually consist of a few cold days somewhere in the 50-60's (F) with lows in the 40's (F). Right now, at 9:45 PM, it's 32 F and it will get even colder by morning. Brrrrrr. We Houstonians don't have clothing for this kind of weather.

I've wrapped the pipes. Covered some of my plants and made sure the cat is inside (poor thing hates indoors). I took my car and had it "winterized" :). Had soup for supper. I think I'm ready for the arctic blast.

Stay warm and don't forget to drink your water!

  1. Hi there, ty for the smiles here. Your cold is like summer to me! I'm in Alberta where it was -20c this morning and with the wind chill it was about -30c. I don't have my pipes wrapped or anything but I do plug my car in on the super cold nights like it has been. Our coldest day so far this year has been -46c, now that was freezing cold and made me want to move someplace warmer! Do you have a spare room to rent? lol just kidding!

    Stay warm and take care!

  5. Hee Hee!
    Sorry.
I grew up in the North. We grew palm trees in such weather! ;P
    Stay warm Tena.
I've been thinking of you and your approaching day!

  6. Sorry, my northern friends! I know we have it easy down here compared to what you guys face every year! I've always said I'd love to live in Canada (and I still think I would) but your kind of cold sounds rough!

Vraz60 - I do have a Snuggie and I'm wearing it right now, lol!

I hope everyone is staying warm!

  7. Hey Tena, I'm with you on this cold! And yesterday I knew it was supposed to get cold, but why did I wear a jacket for looks to work instead of a jacket for warmth? And sure enough by the time I left work, the temp had dropped. It was way to cold to for trying to be cute.
